The program in Architecture aims at education of skilled specialists well-prepared to deliver creative designs ranging from small functional forms, through various types of buildings and urban complexes to the development of urban and rural environments. Apart from the design studio classes, the curriculum of Architecture and Urban Design includes science subjects, humanities and a number of arts courses. The curriculum and teaching methods are designed not only to ensure comprehensive vocational training, but also to acquaint students with a broad range of theoretical concepts related to different areas of science and technology, which determine the quality of the cityscape.
The undergraduate programs equip students with thorough knowledge in history and theory of architecture and urban design, the arts, structural design and building technologies and structures, architectural and urban design. Students learn the technical building regulations, as well as the building site management and organization in Poland and the EU.

Master in Science programs present differentiated study options within the faculty major program.

The master’s students are offered three concentrations to choose from:
Architecture And Urban Design (with an elective learning track in sustainable architecture),
Urban Space Design,
 Architecture and Heritage Protection

The graduate programs in Architecture and Urban Design equip the students with advanced skills and knowledge in the field of architectural design, coordination of work in interdisciplinary design teams, and independent positions in the construction industry.  The graduates are prepared to solve specialized design problems in the areas of commercial architecture, residential architecture, industrial architecture and heritage protection. They are also well qualified to coordinate the activities and cooperate with professionals from other technical disciplines, humanities, economics and the arts who are engaged in the individual stages of the design process. The specialized learning track in Sustainable Architecture is a comprehensive course in the principles of sustainable development of cities, the planning and sustainable management of the landscape; landscape studies and plans of protection in spatial planning; the implementation of the European Landscape Convention; integrated design: sustainable cities, housing estates, buildings; eco-tech architecture; the planning of public spaces; sustainable impact assessment.

Graduates of  Urban Space Design are equipped with the knowledge of rules and values of modern urban planning, and suitable design skills for formulating and implementing spatial policies. Special emphasis is placed on the role of the architect and urban designer in the contemporary world as the creator of anthropogenic landscape, the advisor to the investor and the representative of different social groups in the city.

The program in Architecture and Historic Preservation prepares students to become independent architects with skills in preserving architectural and urban ensembles, as well as modernizing and adapting heritage architecture to contemporary needs.  In order to prepare students for employment in areas related to the protection of architectural and urban heritage and conservation, students explore advanced architectural and urban designs of monumental structures, commercial buildings, residential complexes in city centers and the most important problems of spatial planning and advanced problems of engineering in the cultural environment. The students have access to the Historic Preservation Lab and LabScan3D.

Graduates with outstanding academic records may continue their education and enroll in doctoral programs. Full-time doctoral study programs at the Faculty of Architecture last 4 years and are designed for university graduates with a Master’s degree or equivalent.
Doctoral programs offer the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge in the field of architecture and prepare students for a doctoral degree in Architecture and Urban Design, and Spatial Planning in the following academic fields: architecture, urban design, theory and history of architecture and urban planning, heritage protection, spatial planning, and landscape architecture. The head of the Doctoral Study at the Faculty of Architecture is Professor Marzanna Jagiello, PhD(Arch.).
