Education:

Professor-in technical sciences(1999), PhD (1995),  doctor (1989), architect engineer (1982).    

Scientific activity:

architectural studies of historical sacred architecture, former residential and industrial buildings; theory of conservation issues related to the cultural and landscape context and the protection of world heritage; managing interdisciplinary teams and implementing grants.

Publications and publishing activities:

author of about 160 studies, including 7 monographs (zob. http://scholar.google.pl/);

editor of the publishing series„Dziedzictwoarchitektoniczne” ("Architectural heritage" ,since 2017), editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "Architectus" (since 1996), editor of the volumes "Forum scientiae cisterciense", with Anna Galar (2011, 2014), participation in the work of the Editorial Board of the Rector of the Wrocław University of Technology andwork on the jury of the publishing house competition during the Wrocław Science Book Fair (1997–2010), member of the editorial board of the series "Szlakiem Polskiego Milenium" (On the trail of the Polish Millennium”, 1998–2001), published in Poznań.

Cooperation with the Polish Academy of Sciences:

member of the Architecture and Town Planning Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2016–2020, 1996–1998), member of the editorial board of the “Kwartalnik Architektury i Urbanistyki” KAU PAN (1997–2005), secretary of the Historical Section of KAU PAN (1994–1996).

Cooperation with the Polish National Committee of International Council on Monuments and Sites

vice-president of PKN ICOMOS (since 2006), chairwoman of the Committee on the History and Conservation of Sacred Architecture at PKN ICOMOS (since 2006); participation in expeditions along the route of places inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Asia, Africa, North, South and Central America (since 2002).

Didactics:

design classes on the conservation of architectural structures and urban complexes, lectures on the basics of art history and the history of Polish and general architecture.
