Prague Summer School 2025: ‘Timeless Layers: Blending History and
Modernity in Architectural Design’
Istanbul Kültür University, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, and the Architecture Institute in Prague are organising a summer workshop in Prague between 20 and 27 August 2025. The workshop program consists of face-to-face and online activities. The workshop will include a design studio work on the topic mentioned below. At the end of this process, the results of the studio work will be exhibited with an event. Prague architectural workshop immerses participants in Prague's rich architectural tapestry, encouraging them to explore the intersection of historical preservation and innovative design. Through site visits, lectures, and hands-on projects, students will develop a deeper understanding of how architecture can honour the past while addressing modern challenges.

Daily programs start at 09.30 and continue until 17:30. Participants are responsible for their own time management and activities outside of group program hours.

20 August Wednesday: Arrival in Prague, check into the hotel and first meeting, free time
21 August Thursday: Excursion: Prague Castle, Old Town, City center
22 August Friday: Excursion: Vltava River, Naplavka, Dancing House, CAMP, etc. Visit to ARCHIP
23 August Saturday: Expo '58, National Gallery, DOX Gallery, Trafo Gallery, etc.
24 August Sunday: Villa Muller, The CUBE, Vystavyšte, etc.
25 August Monday: All day design discussions and preparations in the studio
26 August Tuesday: Before noon: final presentation preparations,
Afternoon: project presentations and exhibition, Evening: farewell dinner
27 August Wednesday: Check-out and departure from Prague
